Welcome to Century Fundamental High School! We are a proud team of staff, parents, students, community members and business partners that work together to ensure that all of our students have the opportunity to achieve academic excellence.
We offer a variety of University and State college accepted core courses and academic programs that address the educational needs of all students. Excellent examples of opportunities we have in place at Century are our Small Learning Communities, the Teach and e-Business Academies, Model United Nations Program, the ACE (Architecture, Construction and Engineering) Program, Academic Decathalon, our GHAP (GATE, Honors, Advanced Placement) Program, AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination), Mass Communications, Journalism, Mock Trial, Peer Court, Art and Animation Program, and the Cisco Academy. We are also one of three recognized Stellar Technology High Schools in Orange County where innovative technology and curriculum are successfully integrated across all subjects.
Our first-rate extra-curricular offerings include outstanding Athletic Sports programs available in the fall, winter, and spring, an award winning Marching Band, Orchestra, Drum Line, Jazz Band, Color Guard, Choir, Dance Team and Cheerleading Team.
Each year our students continue to excel and are accepted to public and private Universities and Colleges nation-wide. Margie Salcedo
Principal
Ms. Salcedo graduated from the University of California at Irvine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and then received her Masters of Science degree in Educational Administration from National University. She has been an educator in the Santa Ana Unified School District for the past 18 years. She has served as intermediate and high school science and math teacher, science curriculum specialist, district science liaison and assistant principal of curriculum and instruction. Eleven of her eighteen years in SAUSD have been as teacher and assistant principal at Century Fundamental High School. Ms. Salcedo points out that Century is a wonderful place where all work as a team to create an atmosphere for student success. Our staff are committed to providing the best opportunities and learning environment possible for all students.
My goal is for all Century High School students to display pride and develop an image of success, health, and happiness. As students, parents, and teachers, we can work together to make a students high school experience a rewarding and productive transition into actual life long opportunities. I have been a teacher, a counselor, an athletic coach, an athletic director, an activities director, and an assistant principal at different high schools in Orange County.
