English 5-6 College Prep is a literature-based, two semester course using a thematic approach to poetry, drama, fiction, and non-fiction. Throughout the course listening, speaking, reading, critical thinking skills, and vocabulary development will be integrated. Writing as a process will be emphasized. Literature will be selected from the core and extended reading list for eleventh grade. Methodology is designed to prepare students to be effective as they prepare for college and careers.
