English 5-6 Honors

English 5-6 Honors is a literature based on two semester course using a thematic approach to poetry, drama, fiction, and non-fiction. Throughout the course listening, speaking, reading, critical thinking skills, and vocabulary development will be integrated. Writing as a process will be emphasized. Literature will be selected from the core and extended reading list for eleventh grade. Methodology is designed to expand the breadth and depth of knowledge of students committed to high standards of academic excellence.
