ANIMATION

Animation is another class that is taught in the Fine Arts Department. The instructor for this class is Mr. McElfresh. In this class you get to draw animation using a classical technique of individual cells/drawings photographed with a camera stand. It can be color or black and white. The camera takes thirty (30) frames per second and transfers it to an S-video tape (Super Videotape). Students create movements of people and objects. They start with an idea then a storyboard and then about six (6) drawings per second. The finished product is a tape that can be transferred to a regular videotape and enjoyed at home. Very good jobs have been created in the entertainment business for people who have these skills. .
