Course Description
A continuation of SPANISH 1-2; includes a review for further understanding of vocabulary, idioms, and grammar. More intensive practice in conversational reading. Continuing study of Spanish- speaking people.

Course Description
A continuation of SPANISH 3-4; includes an intensive study of grammar, vocabulary, idiomatic expression, and emphasis on written and oral compositions with a sampling of contemporary Spanish literature.
Course Title: Advanced Placement Spanish Literature
Recommended Preparation: B grade or higher in previous Spanish course and AP Permit signed by Spanish teacher and department chair.
Course Description
The AP Spanish literature course is a one-year course with a focus on preparation for the Advanced Placement Exam in Spanish literature. Students are prepared to understand lectures in Spanish, to participate in literary texts, and to analyze the form and content both orally and in writing while using the appropriate terminology. The course is an introduction to Hispanic literature, covering selected works from the literatures of Spain and Spanish America.

Course Description
The AP Spanish Language course is a one-year course with a focus on preparation for the Advanced Placement Exam in Spanish language. This program develops optimal functional use of the target language. Throughout the course strong and equal emphasis is placed on reading, listening, speaking, vocabulary development, and essay writing.

Course Description
This course provides basic and intermediate elements of reading, writing, and speaking for students who have contact with the Spanish language and who comprehend it without speaking fluently. Special emphasis will be given to the Hispanic heritage of Mexico and the Southwest.
