Battle of The Bands

Century High School's 4th annual Battle of the Bands, was held during lunch periods in the weeks of 10/8-10/18. Semi-finals were held on Tuesdays and Thursdays with two bands battling each day, making a total of nine bands in competition this round. At the completion of the semi-finals, the student body had a chance to vote for its favorite group which was then named winner of this semester's Battle of the Bands.

The winner of this semester's Battle of the Bands was Valhalla. They received a four channel recording deck as first prize, which was donated by Guitar Center of Santa Ana. Congratulations to all the bands for their fine performances and also to the winners.

Next Semester, plans are in the works for a Rap Contest to go along with the next Battle of the Bands. So, whether you have a garage band, or are into rap, be listening to school announcements for application deadlines.
