Evidence of Growth
and Reflection Guidelines
Evidence of
Growth
Evidence of
Growth must be from the same discipline (two science labs, two essays, two
projects, etc). The difference
between the two chosen pieces should clearly demonstrate growth in the Standards
being addressed. The earlier piece
of evidence does not need to be re-typed or edited in any way; the second piece
must be a final draft. You may
revise the earlier piece to demonstrate your growth in writing. For example, you may include an essay
written in your freshman year and revise it as a senior to show your growth in
writing. A student may also
compare a research paper or essay written in a previous year with a different
research paper or essay written in the senior year to show growth.
Evidence of
Growth Reflection
Student will
write a one to two paragraph reflection on one particular area of growth as
represented in the evidence he/she provides. Student will discuss this evidence in detail. He/she may want to show how growth in
this one area has prepared him/her for the future. Additionally, student must identify the ESLRs and Standards
met by these pieces.
